Greater Saskatoon Catholic School's International Student Program (ISP) is looking for local people or families to provide accommodations for international students that are studying abroad. The homestay experience is an integral part of the program because of the sharing of culture, family and language. Hosting a student is an exciting cultural exchange.

ISP operates in several schools within the division. This program brings students from various countries to attend our schools for one or more semesters. Occasionally we do have some students in upper elementary grades; they are usually here for a short-term visit (1-2 months). If you are unable to host, then please consider speaking to a relative, friend or neighbour about the program.

Hosting international students is life changing, so start your story today!

Hosts provide:

  • nutritious meal plans;
  • utilities including laundry and internet;
  • a private bedroom, desk and closet;
  • a patient, caring and friendly home atmosphere; and
  • the same guidance and attention you would want for a loved one overseas.

Hosts receive:

  • generous allowance to help offset expenses;
  • 24/7 cultural and first-language support;
  • choice of short- and long-term stays;
  • health and safety training; and
  • the opportunity to contribute to the success of the next generation of global citizens.
