Safe Positive Schools

Anti-bullying

Statement of Policy:

We believe all students have the right to a safe, caring and respectful school environment free from bullying behavior.

As per Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Policy, Father Robinson School will not tolerate bullying behavior.  Guided by Gospel Values, the behavior will be dealt with in an appropriate, respectful and timely manner.

Definition of Bullying:

Bullying happens when someone is significantly hurt emotionally or psychologically by the actions of one or more students, fears that it will happen again and feels powerless to prevent this.  These negative actions are intentional and hurtful.  Bullying can be verbal, physical, relational, electronic or reactive.  Bullying involves an imbalance of power, and is not gender specific.

Father Robinson Anti-Bully Policy

At Father Robinson school we follow the GSCS Anti-Bullying guidelines.  As each situation is unique, it will be investigated by administration and will be followed up with other staff and parents as required.  Rest assured all parties involved will be heard and together we will develop a plan towards a solution.
