VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Are you looking for a way to make a positive impact in Ukraine? We invite you to volunteer with Ukrainian Patriot, a charity dedicated to raising funds and providing essential support for the people impacted by the war and the defenders. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available for all ages and can also fulfill your CAP hours. From helping at our booths at events, to working/planning behind the scenes, there are many ways to pitch in. We have feet on the ground in Ukraine, and the work we do here directly makes an impact where it’s needed there. Together, we can make a real difference for those on the frontlines of Ukraine.

If you're interested in volunteering or want to learn more, please reach out to Krista-dawn at 604-379-6040. We can't wait to hear from you!

Student Ambassadors for the International Student Program: Are you interested in meeting students from different countries and learning about their cultures? The GSCS International Student Program is looking for students at each high school who are willing to act as ambassadors/ helpers for the international students attending their school. International students often have questions about school life, classes, and life in Canada like how to sign up for clubs, try out for teams, how to go to the football game, etc. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please come to a meeting on Monday, May 26 at noon in the conference room.

Japan Exchange 2026: Are you in Grades 9, 10 or 11 and interested in participating in the 2026 GSCS Japan Exchange? This is an opportunity to host two students from Japan for two weeks in April 2026 and then travel to Japan for two weeks in July 2026. The tentative cost is $3800.00. For more information, come to a brief meeting in the office conference room at 12:35 on Monday, May 26. If you are unable to make it to the meeting, there will be an information sheet in the main office after the meeting for you to pick up and there will be a parent information meeting at St. Joseph High School in the theatre on Tuesday, June 10 from 7-8 pm.
