2023-COPS-graduates

Fourteen Saskatoon high school students marched into the Saskatoon Police Service gym with a honed precision at the 2023 Cadet Orientation Police Studies Program (C.O.P.S.) graduation ceremony.

COPS is an accredited eight-week police study program available for Grade 11 and 12 high school students at E.D. Feehan Catholic High School, Bethlehem Catholic High School, Oskāyak High School, Mount Royal Collegiate and Bedford Road Collegiate.

The program highlights the importance of team work, leadership and community engagement while providing practical training and learning about different units from a variety of officers. One highlight discussed at the event was rappelling down a wall.

Birana Andu, the class valedictorian from Bethlehem Catholic High School joined Police Chief Troy Cooper in congratulating her classmates for their accomplishments and learning throughout the last two months.

Kiwanis Club of Saskatoon president Jim McClements referred to the program as a “proactive leadership program.” Kiwanis is a major sponsor and partner of the COPS program.

Congratulations to Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools 2023 COPS graduates!
