Land-Based Learning

Re-connecting with the land and creation is both culturally and academically important at Oskāyak.

We have access to an outdoor classroom and programming at Eagle Creek for the study of prairie ecology and environmental issues. Work is currently underway to add a sweat at this location, which is expected to open in fall 2023.

The land was bequeathed to the Saskatoon Catholic Schools Foundation by the Scissons family in honour of their parents, Ed and May Scissons, with the understanding the property would be used to teach children about nature.
