General Notices

Holy Cross Students Grade 10 - 12

If you requested a locker for this upcoming year, it will not be the same locker you were assigned last year. 

We are currently working on assigning lockers. Please check My School Sask on your portal to see your locker on Tuesday, September 8^th.

In the meantime, please do not put locks on school lockers. A reminder you must use your school lock and do not give out locker information to others. 

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Student Photos

If you were not able to get your photo taken on August 25/26, there has been a photo day added on Wednesday, September 9th. We will call students by grade over the intercom to the library throughout the day. 

Library News

The library will be closed all day on September 9^th for student photos. If any staff missed their photos, they can get it done on this day as well. The library will be open for individual students who need to print or reset their password.

Student Volunteers Needed

Student Volunteers needed to work volleyball games on Sept 15, 16, 17, 23 at 6pm. Please sign up at the main office. 

Morning Ball

Due to morning classes in the gym in the first semester, there will no longer be morning ball. The weight room will still be open in the mornings EXCEPT on Tuesdays. Please do not enter the gym area while classes are in session unless you are going to the weight room.

Fall Musical

This year's musical is ....... going to be revealed in the Theater after school on Tuesday, September 8th.

Instrumental Jazz 10/20

All students who are registered for Instrumental Jazz 10 or 20: please see Mr. Schroeder in the band room any time before Monday. 

SRC

The SRC would officially like to welcome all students for the 2026/2027 school year. Whether you are a returning student, a new student, or a grade 9 student we welcome you! Next week will be our official welcome week with lots of activities going on for grade 9s and the whole student body!

Tuesday: Grade 9s are invited to join in a lunch time game. Details will be shared on the notices Tuesday. All grade 9s are welcome to participate. 

Wednesday: Grade 9s will be treated to a special treat form the SRC in period 3. Delivery information will be communicated to period 3 teachers next week. 

Thursday: This is the welcome week football game and to support our team we will be having a "White Out" day. Please wear white for school that day, for our pep rally and if you are attending the game at 5:15 at SMF field wear white. The pep rally will take place in period 5, details of the schedule will be shared next week. Also, we will be doing hairstyling for the grade 9s after school before the football game. Grade 12s will be asked to sign up for this event next week so pay attention for further notices and details.

Clubs

Outdoor Ed – Fall Canoe Trip

Come on an adventure and paddle with us! This year we will be travelling from Stanley Mission to Nistowiak Falls, a 10m waterfall located along the historic Churchill River in Northern Saskatchewan. All grade levels are welcome! No experience required! Our first meeting for our Fall Canoe Trip this year will be on Friday, September 4th, at lunch in room 312 (Sewing Lab). Anyone who is interested MUST attend this meeting to receive the information. If you cannot attend, please speak to Mr. Rapin, Mrs. Rodych Mr. Wihak, or Ms. Sherven.

Outdoor Ed - Senior Hike

Attention all Grade 12s interested in participating in the Senior Hiking Trip this year! You MUST be registered in at least 3 in-person classes in the second semester to be eligible to attend this year's trip. We will have our first meeting in April, so stay tuned for the specific date. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Wihak.

Girls Soccer

Sept 4^th & 8th – 3:30 – 5pm Tryouts beside Lions Arena or behind ball field

Selected team roster will be posted outside main gym doors and Room 403 Wednesday Sept 9th.

Boys Soccer

Tryouts (behind Lions Arena on soccer field) as follows:

Day 3 Sept 4^th Group 1 3:30 – 4:30pm

 Group 2 4:30 - 5:30pm

Groupings will be posted outside the Gyms in the morning Thursday Sept 3rd.

Junior Boys Volleyball Tryouts!

Grade 9 and 10 boys are welcome to tryout for the junior boys volleyball team. A sign-up sheet will be posted in the gym hallway across from the elevator. Please attend all 3 tryouts. See Mrs. Santos in the female PhysEd office if you have any questions.

You must be changed into athletic wear with proper footwear. NO CLUB TEAM CLOTHING ALLOWED!

Junior Football

First practice Friday after school!!!!

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS -Gr. 9/10

There will be 3 junior girls volleyball teams this year: 1 Premier team and 2 Championship teams.

Each athlete is guaranteed 3 tryouts. You are welcome to tryout for either team. 

You MUST attend all tryouts to make the team unless you speak with your coach.

If you are trying out for Premier, you must also come to Championship tryouts in case you don't make the Premier team. This will give you the best chance to make a team.

No club outfits for tryouts

Bring water bottle, indoor shoes, gym clothes, etc. and BE READY to tryout at the posted time.

Sign up sheet is hanging up in the PE hallway.
