Student Media Release
Please fill out our GSCS Media Release form. One Media Consent form is now "valid" for the entire duration of each student's time at a school. If a student transfers to a new school, a new form will have to be completed, including transitioning from elementary to high school.
The form must be filled out by a parent/guardian; one per student attending Holy Cross:

Extended Leave Forms
If you are going to miss 4 or more days of school, you must complete an extended leave form from the main office. Please pick up the form 2 weeks in advance to allow time to complete the form and connect with teachers.
Homework Hall Tutorial
Would you like help from a teacher with your homework in a quiet space? Homework Hall tutorial time takes place every lunch hour in Room 332. All students are welcome to attend; it does not have to be assigned to you – you can just drop in.
Driver’s Ed
Please make sure to check the Driver’s Ed bulletin board for the driving schedule. Take a picture of the schedule so you don’t forget.
New classes will be starting in October so make sure to register.
Volunteer
BRIT BANNER
BRIT banner is a group of student designers and painters who meet from October-November. In that time, they will design and paint a massive 12'x12' banner for the BRIT basketball tournament.
If you signed up at the club fair, are a returning member, or are an artist/designer interested in getting more information, come to our first informational meeting TODAY at 12:30 in the Art room (room 92.) If you cannot make it, please contact Ms. Butler.

There is a FULL CHOIR practice TODAY at lunch.

Book Club
Our first meeting is TODAY at lunch in room 102 for discussion over book/novel choices for October. If you are interested, we would love to see you at 12:05.
Spanish Club – First Meeting
First Meeting will be on October 9th. Come listen to music, play UNO and Loterίa (Spanish Bingo) and practice your Spanish. Si hablas Español Tambίen tu estás invitado. Todos son bienvenidos.
Pray the Rosary
Every Monday at 12:15 in the Chapel. We have rosaries, and rosary pamphlets to make this a prayerful experience for you. Please join us for this time of community prayer.
Rosary Group
Our Rosary Group meets every Wednesday after school from 3:15-4:45 in the Chapel to make rosaries that are donated around the world. One Wednesday will earn you 1.5 CAP hours. Please contact Mrs. Dale if you have any questions.
The Knitting and Stitching Club
We will be launching our first after school session on Thursday October 1, beginning at 12:30 in room 111. Bring your knitting, your crochet, your friendship bracelets and come stitch for a while! See you there!

The Chess and Games Club is now open and ready for your genius. For those interested in chess, please feel free to attended Monday to Friday anytime over lunch in room 377. For those interested in board games, card games, and RPG games, please go to room 122 Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Youth Alliance
The Youth Alliance Club is a group for the 2SLGBTQ+ community and their allies. Hosted in Room 361, this safe and inclusive space meets every other Thursday all year!

School Nurse
Our school nurse is Jenna, RN, BSN, IBCLC. She is here at Holy Cross High School on Monday afternoons from 12:30 – 4:00 pm. All visits with the school nurse are confidential. The school nurse can help you with:
- Confidential one-on-one student supports with medical & health related matters.
- Referrals to other community agencies/supports.
- General First Aid
- Confidential pregnancy testing and other supports as needed.
- Students are also able to text the school nurse at 306-230-2483. Look for the School Nurse sign in the school hallway and stop in to say hello!
Shad Canada is now accepting applications for its 2027 pre-university summer program. Open to current Grade 10 and 11 students, Shad offers a unique month-long experience focused on STEAM, entrepreneurship, leadership, and campus life. Financial assistance is available, with one in three students receiving support. Early application deadline November 8. Final application deadline January 6, 2027.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters
Big Brothers, Big Sisters lunch and learn meeting - Friday October 2 in Room 241 for information about the following programs.

"Pumped for Post-Secondary" is a post-secondary/university prep course for high school students run by Big Brothers Big Sisters in partnership with the U of S & Polytech students. The program will take place at the postsecondary campus or at the high school. They will go over what resources are available to students for grants and applications, some important features and important locations around campus, and other activities. The program will run every week or two at 1.5-2hrs each session.
"Teen Mentoring": As a High School mentor, you will spend one lunch hour a week throughout the school year with your mentee at their elementary school. Other times may be possible, like shortened Thursdays or spares. You will engage in fun activities, such as cards, board games, go to the gym, throw a football outside, or just sitting and talking. Whatever activity you are doing, you are being a positive role model for your mentee. It’s as easy as being a good friend.

Indigenous students in Grades 11 and 12 are invited to attend the University of Saskatchewan's Indigenous Student Experience Day on Friday, October 16 (9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.). Explore university programs, career pathways, student supports, and campus life through interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and opportunities to connect with current Indigenous students and staff.
