General Notices

Parking in the Community

A notice to all students who drive and park in our community, especially those that park North of Taylor Street in the residential areas of Phillips Crescent, Neilson Crescent, Early Drive and Madden Avenue. We have had reports from our neighbours in the community that students have been observed driving with excessive speed on these residential streets, blocking driveways with parked vehicles and also littering. This is unacceptable, especially for students representing our school. Please drive according to the speed limit (or slower) when finding parking in our community, do not block driveways and please do not throw garbage anywhere in our community. We have asked neighbours to report offending vehicles to us, and we will be following up with any students who continue to create issues in the community.

Honour Roll

The Honour Roll list will be posted on the bulletin board outside Student Services at 1:30 PM on Monday October 5th. Please check the list carefully and report any errors or omissions to Mrs. Olenick in Student Services.

If you have taken any Sask Distance Learning Centre (DLC) courses or other courses outside GSCS that you want to be used for calculation, please contact Student Services.

Deadline for errors or omissions is Thursday, October 15 at 3:30 pm.

The program will take place at the postsecondary campus or at the high school. They will go over what resources are available to students for grants and applications, some important features and important locations around campus, and other activities. The program will run every week or two at 1.5-2hrs each session.

"Teen Mentoring" As a High School mentor, you will spend one lunch hour a week throughout the school year with your mentee at their elementary school. Other times may be possible, like shortened Thursdays or spares. You will engage in fun activities, such as cards, board games, go to the gym, throw a football outside, or just sitting and talking. Whatever activity you are doing, you are being a positive role model for your mentee. It’s as easy as being a good friend.
