Principal's Honor Roll for next year
GSCS has reviewed honor roll requirements and made changes to align as a division.
As a result, we are changing some of our honor roll requirements for next year. Please see the Edsby post/email for specific details.
If you need to change your course requests for next year based on these changes, MSS is open until the end of day (11:59pm) on Monday, March 9 to make changes.
The most significant change is adding a 30-level math and science to Grade 12 honour roll.

GSCS Annual Feast and Round Dance
When: Wednesday, March 11th, 2026
Time: Feast begins at 4 PM, Round Dance will begin approximately 6 PM
Where: awâsisak kâ-nîmîhtocik St. Francis School (2010 7th St E)
There will be a group of staff and students attending. Sign up in student services if you are planning on attending and if you need transportation from Holy Cross to the Feast. See Mrs. Olenick in student services if you have questions.
Student Volunteers needed for Basketball games at Holy Cross:

You will be working at the entrance from 5:45 - 9pm.

Staff and students are invited to provide baking for the "Fruits and Vegetables of the Earth" bake sale to raise money to purchase our Crusader Acre. The muffins/cookies/tarts/brownies MUST have something in them that is grown locally. Examples are: zucchini, rhubarb, carrots, beets, strawberries, raspberries, Saskatoon berries, pumpkin, lentils, (have you ever tried Chocolate lentil Brownies?? š) poppy seeds, apples, …. I know there are more. These should be delivered to Holy Cross on Thursday, March 12 (Day 1 of the Bake Sale). Please see Mrs. Dale for more details. You can earn CAP hours with this project.
BLAZE 2026 - is a Ukrainian Catholic Youth leadership event hosted at St. Joseph High School on March 14-15. Register before March 11. Grow in your faith, meet new friends, and earn CAP hours.
School Fees
Updated account statements for student fees have been sent home.
A reminder that these can be paid through www.myschoolbucks.ca via credit card, or at the main office (schools days from 8am - 4pm) using cash, cheque or cash.

Chapel News
Jesus is now present in the tabernacle in the Chapel. The reserved consecrated eucharist from our school Mass on Jan. 21 is in the tabernacle, and you will notice that the tabernacle light is on. Please keep this in mind when you are visiting our Chapel for
prayer or reflection. God bless you.
2025-26 Media Release Forms – Only 73% completed!!
This is a reminder that Student Media Release forms must be completed ASAP.
The form must be filled out by a parent/guardian; one per student attending Holy Cross.

Youth Study Group
Free Tutoring - Youth Study Group - after school Every Wednesday 3:30-5:30 in the Library at Holy Cross. Everyone is welcome!
Homework Hall Tutorial
Would you like help from a teacher with your homework in a quiet space? Homework Hall tutorial time takes place each lunch hour in Room 341 (Mr. Heath's room). All students are welcome to attend.
Graduation
Attention Grade 12s - A reminder that Monday, April 13 (after Easter break) is the midterm mark date. You need to be passing all your classes needed for graduation and halfway through cyber classes (and passing).

Clubs
Holy Cross Youth Alliance
This group is for our 2SLGBTQ+ Students and Allies! It focuses on advocacy and support for all our students and staff here, regardless of their identity. We meet every Thursday during noon hour in room 361. Join us for our 10th year of being a club at Holy Cross, a school where everyone belongs! ā¤ļø
Games Club
All those students interested in playing board games and card games over lunch hour are invited to come out and play in Room 122 Tuesday – Friday. If you do not know how to play, you will learn. See Mr. Allen for more information.

Chess club has moved to room 377 in the new portables. All levels of skill are welcome.

Wrestling
A huge congratulations to your Crusader Wrestlers for their exceptional performance at their City Championships this past Thursday and Friday. Our boys team wrestled hard all tournament and dominated the competition to defend the title from last year with a total of 79 points to become the 2026 City Champions! That makes it 8 straight City Championships for our boys! On the girls’ side, our small but mighty crew of only 6 girls was able to place third overall, with a total of 55 points and all our girls walking away with medals!

Lenten 40 Runners & Walkers!
We are so excited to have a record number of HC staff and student teams committing to running/walking on March 28th! It is going to be an amazing event!
For all staff and students signed up (and those who are perhaps still interested and have not yet signed up), please come to a meeting on Tuesday, March 17th at lunch in room 103 (Mr. Malin's classroom). At this time, we will talk about team registrations, the plan for the 28th and HC singlets.

School Nurse
Our school nurse is Jenna, RN, BSN, IBCLC. She is here at Holy Cross High School on Monday afternoons from 12:30 – 4:00 pm. All visits with the school nurse are confidential. The school nurse can help you with:
- Confidential one-on-one student supports with medical & health related matters.
- Referrals to other community agencies/supports.
- General First Aid
- Confidential pregnancy testing and other supports as needed.
- Students are also able to text the school nurse at 306-230-2483. Look for the School Nurse sign in the school hallway and stop in to say hello!
