The library will be closed TODAY during p1 to p.3 for a math contest and over the lunch hour for Outdoor Ed. meeting. It will also be closed Periods 1 & 2 Wednesday April 1st for a Math Contest.

Anyone signed up for Fryer/Galois/Hypatia math contest tomorrow, please meet in the library at 8:35 am.
2025-26 Media Release Forms – LAST DAY
This is a final reminder that Student Media Release forms must be completed by Tuesday, March 31.
We are currently working on the yearbook for next year and need the form filled out, so we know your wishes regarding yearbook.
Following this deadline, we will assume media consent for yearbook if you have not filled out the form. The form must be filled out by a parent/guardian; one per student attending Holy Cross.

Last year’s yearbook (2024-2025)
If you paid for a yearbook last year, there is an insert page for you at the office. This is to rectify an issue with some missed photos and names on the Grade 9 honour roll list. We sincerely apologize for these errors/omissions.

March 31st Cheer and Dance City Championships at Bedford Road - TONIGHT
Calling all Crusaders! You are invited to cheer on your Holy Cross Pom Team in a spectacular showcase at the Cheer and Dance City Championships tomorrow at Bedford Road. After placing 4th at Walter Murray Mania earlier this month, the HC Pom Team is fighting for a top spot. This team has been working incredibly hard and we need your support at our final competition!
We perform at 8 p.m.
The event begins at 7 p.m. so plan to arrive early!
The cost for students is $3 with a valid student I.D. and $5 for adults.
Come cheer the pom team to victory!
Personal Stations of The Cross
If you were absent when your class did the Stations of the Cross, or have a spare during your Grade's scheduled time, feel free to do the Stations on your own. There are extra maps at the 1st Station by Room 235, and that is all that you need. Don't feel like walking? The Stations of the Cross are in our Chapel, as well as booklets of prayers for each station. Feel free to take one of the Lent meditation books for some reflections during the Triduum. Have a holy Holy Week, Holy Cross.

Updated account statements for student fees have been sent home. A reminder that these can be paid through www.myschoolbucks.ca via credit card, or at the main office (schools days from 8am - 4pm) using cheque or cash.

Chapel News
Jesus is now present in the tabernacle in the Chapel. The reserved consecrated eucharist from our school Mass on Jan. 21 is in the tabernacle, and you will notice that the tabernacle light is on. Please keep this in mind when you are visiting our Chapel for
prayer or reflection. God bless you.
Youth Study Group
Free Tutoring - Youth Study Group - after school Every Wednesday 3:30-5:30 in the Library at Holy Cross. Everyone is welcome!
Homework Hall Tutorial
Would you like help from a teacher with your homework in a quiet space? Homework Hall tutorial time takes place each lunch hour in Room 341 (Mr. Heath's room). All students are welcome to attend.
Graduation
Attention Grade 12s
On Friday, March 20, we printed updated Grade 12 student statement of accounts for distribution in Period 3. Students - please take these home to your parents.
A reminder that school fees need to be paid prior to receiving Graduation Cap and Gown.
The deadline is April 1.
Date change - Please note we have moved the Midterm Mark and Learning Behaviours Assessment date to Monday, April 20th, and the deadline to drop a class date to April 30.
A reminder that our midterm mark date is now on April 20th. Students eligible to graduate must be passing all classes required to graduate. Students must be passing and at the halfway point in any cyber classes needed for graduation.
Please ensure you are keeping up with your assignments and classes!
Outdoor Ed - Senior Hike 2026 – MEETING TODAY
Our introductory meeting for the Grade 12 Senior Hiking Trip will be on Tues, March 31st, at lunch in the library. This year, we will be travelling to the beautiful Kootenay National Park! If you cannot attend this meeting, please see Mr. Wihak after the 31st in Room 374. See you all there!

Wednesday April 1st - Pastel Day and Where's the Easter Bunny Wednesday. Take a selfie with the Easter Bunny as it's hopping around! Bring your picture to the SRC kiosk at lunch for a prize!
Thursday April 2nd - Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day. Where blue or red to show your support.

Bible Club

Holy Cross Youth Alliance
This group is for our 2SLGBTQ+ Students and Allies! It focuses on advocacy and support for all our students and staff here, regardless of their identity. We meet every Thursday during noon hour in room 361. Join us for our 10th year of being a club at Holy Cross, a school where everyone belongs! ❤️
Chess Club
Chess club has moved to room 377 in the new portables. All levels of skill are welcome.
Games Club
All those students interested in playing board games and card games over lunch hour are invited to come out and play in Room 122 Tuesday – Friday. If you do not know how to play, you will learn. See Mr. Allen for more information.

Saskatoon Track and Field Club will be offering a four-day training program for athletes looking to kick-start their track and field season. This opportunity is designed for those interested in enhancing their skills and preparing for the upcoming season. Hockey Stick Collection
Break your twig? Blade no good? Blade ready for street hockey? Don’t throw it out!
We will take it if it has a shaft, and the blade is broken. We will put a new plastic blade on it and start sniping top cheddar!
Protein shake for student who brings in the most old hockey stick / shafts! Teachers, you are welcome to join in on the contest… (no fiberglass sticks please - we are still digging splinters out of our hands from 1997)

School Nurse
Our school nurse is Jenna, RN, BSN, IBCLC. She is here at Holy Cross High School on Monday afternoons from 12:30 – 4:00 pm. All visits with the school nurse are confidential. The school nurse can help you with:
- Confidential one-on-one student supports with medical & health related matters.
- Referrals to other community agencies/supports.
- General First Aid
- Confidential pregnancy testing and other supports as needed.
- Students are also able to text the school nurse at 306-230-2483.
Look for the School Nurse sign in the school hallway and stop in to say hello!
