BLAZE 2026: March 14 - 15

BLAZE (Byzantine Leadership And Zealous Evangelization) is back for GSCS high school students!

Saturday, March 14, 9 am - 9 pm at St. Joseph High School (115 Nelson Rd.)
Sunday, March 15, 9 am - 6 pm at St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (210 Ave. M South)

Goals:

• Form young leaders who will be inspired to serve their communities: schools, parishes, camps, and places of need.
• Evangelize and form missionary disciples in the educational spirit of St. John Bosco under the guidance of Mary, Help of Christians.
• Equip young leaders with the knowledge of Byzantine Catholic tradition.

Activities:

• Talks led by Ukrainian Catholic clergy and Youth Ministers
• Participation in the Divine Liturgy
• Team and trust building, decision making/problem solving
• Leadership games
• Chotky workshop (Eastern prayer rope)
• Prayer and testimonies
• Serving to those in need
• Icon writing workshop
