Holy Cross - Important Information and Updates – April 2026  

As we approach Easter, a time of renewal and hope, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful and blessed Easter season filled with peace, happiness, and the joy of the resurrection. 

Stations of the Cross – Classes will view the Stations of the Cross on March 31, April 1 or April 2

Good Friday – April 13 – No school for students.

Easter Break – April 6 - 10. Classes resume on Monday, April 13.

Shortened days – Thursday, April 16 is a shortened day with 12:30 dismissal. Students are to leave the building for the afternoon as staff have meetings and professional development.  Students can return to school at 3:30 if 

they have a supervised extra-curricular activity. 

Midterm Marks and Learning Behaviours shared on Edsby on Monday, April 20

Pep Rally - Wednesday, April 22 – SRC Grade Wars Pep Rally.

One Act Plays – Friday, April 24 at 6pm in the Holy Cross theatre. Tickets will be $5 at the door.

Orange Shirt Day – Friday, April 24 - Last Fridays of the month are Orange Shirt Days at Holy Cross to show our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

Multicultural Week – April 27 – May 1 – More details to come.

Deadline to drop a class  – Thursday, April 30

School Access After school - The school is open on regular school days for students until 4:00 pm. Students should be out of the building by 4:00 pm unless they have a planned extracurricular activity with a staff supervisor. 

Holy Cross Accessibility drop off/pick up area and parking:

An important reminder that the Holy Cross front loop on McEown Avenue has our accessibility parking and accessibility drop off/pick up area. This area is marked with signage (wheelchair on sign). This area must be open for drop off /pick up and accessibility parking at all times – during the school day, before and after school hours and on weekends. Thanks for your cooperation!
