BJM's FAQs Parents / Guardians

Why have I been charged a Noon Lunch Supervision fee, when my child doesn’t stay at school for lunch?

For the 2025-26 school year, a noon lunch supervision fee of $25 per student per year will be charged for students attending Saskatoon high schools. This cost will be added to student fee invoices and can be paid using MySchoolBucks.

  • This cost-recovery fee helps cover the expense of supervision that is not funded by provincial operating grants.
  • The level of supervision needed for high school students (compared to elementary students) is different, but they still require monitoring and supervision. The modest fee reflects that and the fact that some students only occasionally spend lunch at school.

Instructions to create a MySchoolBucks account, login, and pay fees through MySchoolBucks can be found at https://go.gscs.ca/nls. You can also find some answers to some frequently asked questions.

Technical questions about MySchoolBucks accounts and payments can be directed to 1-855-832-5226.

If you have general questions about student fees, please contact Ms. Fenrich at 306-659-7504.

What is the HSA fee used for? The HSA fee is applied to equipment, technology, guest speakers and field trips, as well as administrative costs.

My child is on a school sports team and was asked by the coach to pay a fee. What is the fee for?
Our sports teams have to pay fees to SSSAD (https://sssad.net/) and cover other costs, depending on the sport.  Please reach out to your child’s coach for more specific information.

How do I register my child for Driver’s Education?
Once your child is 14 years and 9 months old, simply go to http://www.klassendrivingschool.com/ and click the Application tab.  You will receive an email from Klassen.

How do I sign my child up for the drives with the teacher at school? They are done the class, and we are wondering how to sign up for the in-person driver lessons.
Our driver instructor's phone number is posted on the Main Office bulletin board.  Give them a call and let them know that you have drives to complete.
