How does Healthline 811 Work?
When you call Healthline 811, a licensed healthcare professional will give you options and information to help you with health or mental health and addictions-related questions or concerns. You will be able to discuss your concerns in a safe, caring and confidential manner.
A registered nurse will assess your symptoms and help you decided whether to treat your own symptoms, go to a clinic, see your primary health care provider or access emergency medical care, if necessary.
Healthline 811 also provides mental health and addictions support. Healthline 811's registered psychiatric nurses and registered social workers can offer crisis support, advice to help you manage your situation and connections to resources in your community.

HALF PRICE APPLICATION WEEK
Half-Price Application Week is happening from February 1 – 10. The application fee, typically $100, is now reduced to just $50 for this limited-time offer. Use the coupon code HALFPRICE when submitting your application.

*Please note: International students (students on a study visa) and Graduate students are not eligible for the reduced application fee. 

 

SaskPolytech

Competitive Applications
A reminder, programs that use the Competitive Admission process are still open but will close on February 15. Students who wish to apply to one of the followings programs will need to submit their applications soon.

Electrical Engineering Spend a Day
Our Electrical Engineering Technology program will be hosting a Spend a Day event next month.
Date: January 21
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: Moose Jaw campus 

This is an excellent opportunity for students to see the campus and the program area, interact with faculty members, and learn more about Co-operative work term opportunities. Students will also get first-hand experience with 

  • introduction to electrical and electronic systems
  • hardware and software programming using electromechanical relays and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • AC and motor circuits

If you know of students who have recently graduated and are still looking at options, some of our programs with a January intake currently have seats available, including the Office Administration program. 🦷 Spotlight on Careers: Dentistry 

📅 Friday, March 6, 2026

🕘 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

📍 USask College of Dentistry

Students will explore careers as Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Dental Therapists through an on-campus experience at the College of Dentistry. Dental Therapy includes seats reserved specifically for Indigenous students.

Students attend the full morning and must arrange their own transportation.

Autobody Bootcamp

  • Tuesdays beginning February 24 at Saskpolytech
  • Open to grades 10-12
  • Sessions include welding, grinding, painting

Do you enjoy working on cars? If you are looking to expand your current skill base or looking to start building new skills in the motive sector, apply now for the Autobody Bootcamp and work alongside Saskpolytech instructors using industry grade equipment to experience life as an Autobody Collision Technician. Robotics Bootcamp

Are you interested in coding or robotics? Apply now for the Robotics bootcamp and learn to program, design, and operate your own robot! Culinary Bootcamp

  • Sessions will include cooking, baking and meat cutting

We will also be offering a Service Best Bootcamp (name TBA) for students who are more interested in the serving, banquet planning side of the culinary world, info will be coming out in the next few weeks! The two camps will work closely together.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

SaskWater Scholarship
Do you have students who are interested in the Civil Engineering Technologies program? This scholarship will provide full tuition and fees, textbooks, and even provide a $1,000/month living stipend. Students will also get paid co-operative work terms with SaskWater and will have guaranteed employment upon graduation!

The scholarship is open to students who have graduated high school from the past three years. Application deadline is February 28, 2025.

The city of Saskatoon is looking for energetic people to work as Recreation Program Leaders during the summer season. These positions provide excellent work experience for anyone entering the fields of recreation, education or early childhood education. 
Applicants must have completed a minimum of grade 10, be certified in Standard First Aid/CPR-C and have an acceptable current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search upon offer of employment.
