Regular classes resume for Thursday, February 8; STF suspends job action

Dear GSCS parents and caregivers; 

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) announced they are suspending previously announced withdrawal of noon lunch supervision planned for Thursday, February 8, 2024.  

All schools will return to regularly scheduled classes and transportation (buses and taxis) on Thursday, February 8, 2024. 

Please disregard previously announced changes to class and bus schedules. 

In a letter to the school division, the STF indicated they will be returning to the bargaining table with the Government Trustee Bargaining Committee.
