  • Positive COVID-19 case

    Dear Father Vachon Families,

On October 12, 2020, the Saskatchewan Health Authority notified us that an individual at our school tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last at the school October 7. The SHA is in the early stages of their contact tracing. At this early stage, they have informed us that the individual was in multiple locations of the school and had multiple touch points with equipment and supplies.

Out of an abundance of caution, and at the recommendation of the SHA, we have made the decision to close the school and move to online learning effective October 13 through October 21. During this time, caretaking staff will do a deep clean of the building.

The attached letter contains more information from the SHA about the contact tracing process, self-monitoring, and self-isolating for those determined to be close contacts.

We will be communicating with you to assess your access to technology and if you need a device from the school to continue learning during this time.

We understand this is difficult information at the end of a long weekend. If you have any questions, please contact me via email at On Tuesday, we'll start forwarding calls to the office to the appropriate people, so you are welcome to call 306-659-7210.
