Digitized at the U of S – May 8, 2018. We invite students who express an interest in computer science from across Saskatoon and surrounding areas to participate in Digitized. Throughout the day, students participate in various activities such as hands-on workshops. These workshops include robotics, animation, digital media, web programming, mobile, and video games. Students also attend speaker presentations from experts in the industry, with topics such as gaming, mobile, entrepreneurship, software development, cyber-security, bioinformatics and more. The Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program - Gain confidence and life skills needed to be a great leader. Enjoy fun filled activities and much more. Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada: 2018 applications are now open! The program brings together students, ages 15-18 who will not be graduating in June 2018, to travel to the United States with other young Canadians for three weeks with program themes which include civic education, community service, youth leadership and social inclusion. It is a fully funded program from July 16th – August 4, 2018. Stop by Student Services for an info sheet from the "Career Development" bulletin board.
Saskatoon Police Force Event: The Saskatoon Police Force is planning a day-long student session in May. This is an opportunity to spend the day with police staff and learn about the wide variety of careers available in police services. If this is something you would like to attend, please sign the sheet in student services and write a paragraph why you're interested in a career in policing. This event will be held only if there is sufficient interest. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided.

SASKATOON INDUSTRY EDUCATION COUNCIL
Game On! Skills boot camp.
It is a 9 session camp that provides students an opportunity to create and develop their own computer game! If you are interested in gaming, this is for you. It will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting March 1 and running until March 29th at the U of S campus with the last day being a demo day where students can try-out each other's games.
Application deadline is Monday, February 26. Forms are available in Student Services.
