The Women In Trades Exploratory course covers 7 different trades over the course of 4 weekends. We explore Plumbing, Electrical, Welding, Machining, Automotive service technician (Mechanic), Autobody and Carpentry and each of these trades are led by a Journeywomen in that field. This workshop is for women 15 years and older.  Starts February 9th, 9-4pm (cost $300).  Register at: saskpolytech.ca/WITT

The SIEC Culinary Skills Boot Camp aims to give you an introduction to the history and theory behind a number of different ingredients.  Along the way you'll gain the skills necessary to be successful in the culinary industry as you create magnificent meals.  You will have the opportunity to learn from qualified instructors from the Culinary Arts program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and cook in the industrial fitted kitchens. Camps will be held on Tuesday evenings for 10 weeks starting February 26th until May 15th. Deadline for applications:  Tuesday, February 5, 2019. ***High School Credit option (Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship 30A) if you meet all the requirements as listed on information package. Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC) is excited to present you with the opportunity to explore the automotive industry.  If you enjoy working on cars and have an interest in becoming an Automotive Service Technician the Automotive Skills Boot Camp is a great way to get a head start on your future career! The program will accept 16 students throughout Saskatoon.  Open to Grades 10, 11, & 12 students.  Sessions go from February 27th to May 8thDeadline for applications is Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
