French is the language of instruction for a significant part of the school day.
There are two types of French Immersion elementary programs:
Type A: All the instruction is in French at the Saskatoon French School, except for English Language Arts.
Type B: Religion is offered in English, starting in Grade 1 and English Language Arts in Grade 3. Science and Health may be taught in English in Grades 7 and 8.
In high school, Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Christian Ethics are offered in French.
There are many benefits children gain from learning a second language.
Students are fully immersed in the French language, increasing their awareness and appreciation of other cultures.
Students are active participants in the Francophone community.
