​​​​​​​​Overview:

  • The Opening Doors program is designed to assist students from 14-to-19 years of age who have been unsuccessful in a mainstream school setting and have been absent from school for more than 4 months.

  • The program team assists students who are experiencing difficulties with academic performance, behaviour and attendance.

  • The small-scale setting in downtown Saskatoon is designed to help students feel valued and respected. 

  • Students can ask to join the program or can be referred by the Ministry of Social Services; Corrections, Public Safety and Policing; Addiction Services; and Mental Health.​

Benefits:

  • Students receive personal attention and assistance in dealing with their problems.
