Overview:

Saskatchewan is committed to strengthening partnerships between First Nations and non-First Nations people in Saskatchewan in the spirit of the Treaties.

Instruction in the history and content of the Treaties is a mandatory part of the K-12 educational program.

Every school has a Treaty Kit full of background resource materials, provided by the Office of the Treaty Commissioner.

Benefits:

Students will have a better understanding of First Nations and Métis peoples' history, culture and perspectives.
