What is the CSCC?

CSCC stands for Catholic School Community Council.  School Community Councils are advisory groups that are required in every school.  Their purpose is to:

  • support student learning success and well-being; and
  • encourage parent and community involvement in the school.

Who Can Join?

All parents or guardians of students attending the school are eligible for nomination to the CSCC executive.   They are also always welcome to come along to the meetings during the year and are eligible to vote on motions at the AGM without jointing the executive.

Election Notice

Nominations are being accepted now for 4 open positions on the St. George Catholic School Community council.

Candidates are elected for 2 year terms and individual roles within the council are established annually.

Election or acclamation of the candidates will occur at the CSCC AGM on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Nomination Process

Nomination forms can be obtained at the school office from Mrs. Kirwan, Returning Officer (rkirwan@gscs.ca).  Completed nomination forms must be returned to Mrs. Kirwan by 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
